I conquerored intel and want to share results
ok:
when i first got GW, with intel 82845g, it sucked. major not goodness.
BUT
after following some instructions, i was ROCKING ON
rarely crashed,,then i moved to post armageddon ascalon, and things got less not not not not not not gooder.
it crashed a bit, 30% of the time i tried to mess with my inv, and for the first time, at random moments. sucked, but i was playing GW, and had conquered intel. was ROCKING ON
but recently, whenever i did ANYTHING with my inventory the game crashed.
then i saw that i had checked only one of the boxes in the 3danalyze program
as per this photo
http://www.ixtlanstudios.com/webimages/GW.jpg
i had only checked the top leftmost one.
so i checked the rest and its now smooth and without any problems salvaging equipment.
YET
BUT
my screen is all....greenish, it has a green tinge EVERYWHERE that is quite noticable; this hadnt been in place before, but before i couldnt salvage any of that lovely stalker armor.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO
has anyone gotten these symptoms?
all in all the tweeks ive followed to get GW to run have been:
- checking all the boxes in the 3d analize program like in the corresponding picture
- changed the intel extreme graphic's memory footprint to "high"
- changed my resolution to the bare minimum
- AND on display properties with WinXP, i've got settings >> advanced >> troubleshooting and pulled the slider down one notch
so...again have anyone else gotten a green screen like me, and is there a way to change the game's colors or something..?
LASTLY
to gain the effects of the 3d analize program must one run GW from the 3danalize program...or not..
THANK YOU
'twas a blast typing this all up.

ok:
in control panel go to the options for intel extreme graphics, go to the OpenGL tab
on that screen, find "driver memory footprint" it will probably say its on medium, click where it says medium (or low or whatever its on) till it says high.

Ok i Just got contacted by support saying the the 82845G integrated graphics is not supported. So we can pretty much say with all honesty that NCsoft does not plan to make a patch for us.
However I was able to work out some kind of fix.
first of all download this great tool called 3danalyze http://www.3dfxzone.it/dir/tools/emutnl.htm
(this is also useful for SOME of the next gen games if you can't get them to run or install on your outdated machine)
Now have it open your GW .exe and check these boxes
http://www.ixtlanstudios.com/webimages/GW.jpg
I have spent many hours trying to get this to work and I have been testing this combo for about an hour with no prob. I can access inventories, and shops, select, etc without a crash.
I have noticed a few artifacts show up (such as a green square next to an NPC) but it is definately not severe, and I think we can live with it. Also on one occasion I got a wierd blacking out of an area on my screen. If this happens, just exit GW and reload.
Also if your text seems unclear, make sure to jump out of windowed mode in the options. For some reason 3danalyze will put the client in windowed mode (which it actually won't be, but it will say that it is). Once you put it back into resolution it clears up the aliasing.
Im hoping this fix will work for the 82856G guys as well, but i know it works for my 82845G, and im sure its probably the same hardware wise.

I would check your bios setting and assign as much memory to the video card is possible but doing these instruction I got my laptop to work ok with GW.
Gw runs off of the direct X so see if there is some option under a direct x tab, not sure of exact settings, laptop is not easily accessible at the moment.
